50 and DC Marathon Group - Mark is a proud member of the 50 and DC Marathon Group running club. The group is for marathon runners who have completed at least 10 marathons in different states.  Mark has completed 20 marathons covering 17 states and has added North Carolina to the list.  Mark ran the Outer Banks Marathon (picture below) in November with his good friend Tom and will be taking on the Mississippi Blues marathon in January.  

We couldn't have asked for a better day in running the Outer Banks Marathon.  There was enough scenery to keep your mind going thru the race.   I was a little tentative at the beginning as my calf was acting up two weeks before the race but finished with no issues. We had such a good run that  I decided to go for the Mississippi marathon in early January.  I'll be able to get that one in just before busy season starts rolling. 

A number of clients of mine are runners too and its great to share stories with them.  As you get older you truly appreciate doing the things you love.  Tom and I enjoy running the smaller venues but were hoping to get into NYC in 2012. We also have are sights set on New Jeresey's Long Beach  marathon in May.
